A zoom meeting has been set up all 5 tribes Freedmen to participate. The meeting is set for Monday, December 2nd, 2024 starting at 6:15 – 7:45 CST. The main purpose of the meeting is explore the interest in establishing ways of permanent and consistent connections in the at-large Freedmen descendants community. The zoom will also provide updates, potential planned events for freedmen and topics for discussion. The Indian Freedmen descendants community has grown numerically and much more sophisticated in many areas of society. The level of disenfranchisement by the majority of the tribes is unacceptable especially in view of the contributions made by Indian Freedmen. Continued fragmentation among our ranks is also unacceptable. WE CAN FIX THIS.
