On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the Muscogee Creek Nation Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Creek Freedmen in their citizenship case. The court’s decision sets in place the re-enlistment process for all Creek Freedmen descendants, who can trace back their heritage to ancestors listed on the Dawes Rolls.
